Ink Stained Heart

Erosion of Pain

    (art by j.ajabad)

I wrote the following poem as a series of haikus. It was one of my favorites to write as it is comes from a great source of inspiration.

Eyes erupt with tear

mascara oozes down cheek

Mother Earth cries,

A flock of crows

crowd around her golden rock

a partial eclipse,

May Day come soon

bring her monsoons, wash away

four lingering black streaks,

Rain over her pain

pour with such haste

rain over her pain,

pour with such haste

So she may forgive

and forgive she shall

a twinkle she’ll give

once more.
