Tales from the Notebook

check point

In january i gave myself a challenge: write one verse a day for a year. one! i didnt think it would be so difficult, but around march i began to falter. However, a major goal of this challenge was to be on writing mode. I’ve written more poetry and im having fun doing it. my pen and mind are more insync.
So despite this over zealous challenge/goal it’s purpose has been met. I wanted to become a better writer and part of that is to write more. thus my pen is more receptive to the unfolding of life. However, the next time I set a major goal be it personal or professional i will remember to construct the ladder to achieve that big goal by making each rung a small goal and step up accordingly. the challenges we make for ourselves whether intentional or not help us grow and we build our confidence. Go construct your ladder and climb, climb, climb!
