Tales from the Notebook

The Blogging Plan

For many years I’ve been attempting to be a more organized and habitual blogger. Well I believe I may have finally become a little more organized via my happy planner. Last November I discovered this great planning system with heart cut-out discs, plenty of paper, stickers, and sticky notes. The discs are super cute and functional allowing planners to add pages and customize at their leisure.  This system has made planning a lot less tedious.

I recently setup a blog section in my planner. I included a dry erase board using page protectors and the back of pocket cards with graph style paper. I chose a four section pocket page protector to use quadrants in my blog post brainstorming.

I have a calendar where I plan to keep track of the days I post via a thumbnail sticky-note to mark the days. At the bottom of my post calendar is a #hashtag sticky-note with my most popular tags. Last but not least I have my draft/post at a glance chart! On the left is a chart with features, poetry and art. On the right is my P’ARTICLES (miscellaneous articles, etc.) draft/post. I plan to use sticky notes for these charts and just move them around once they have been published/posted.

This week will be my dry run on my new blogging planner adventure! We’ll see how it works and what does not. I may need to add some things…or I may need to create an entire planner….eventually!?

STAY TUNED….

I’ll be documenting the journey and posting a couple of followups!
